Created for collectors who appreciate traditional doll artistry, fine hand-finishing, and expressive design, this Joy Forever Second Edition 11-inch Ball-Jointed Doll begins with an original sculpt by artist Joyce Mathews.
 
Joyce first sculpted the doll entirely by hand in polymer clay. The completed original sculpture was then entrusted to our professional manufacturer, where molds were created from Joyce’s sculpt and the doll was professionally cast in high-quality resin to produce the Joy Forever Second Edition.
 
With 14 points of articulation, she can be gently posed in a wide variety of natural and expressive positions, allowing her personality to change beautifully from one display to another.
 
Hand-Painted Artistry
 
Each doll is individually hand-finished and painted by Joyce Mathews of Kuwahi Dolls.
Her eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes, lips, facial detailing, and nails are all painted entirely by hand. Her resin body is also carefully blushed and contoured to bring warmth, dimension, and life to the sculpt.
 
Joyce’s facial painting reflects techniques and skills she learned through the artistry and instruction of renowned doll artist Dianna Effner, whose influence can be seen in the delicate, expressive quality of the finished face.
 
Because these details are created by hand rather than mechanically applied, each doll possesses the subtle individuality collectors value in an artist-finished piece.
 
Wig & Couture Ensemble
 
Her softly styled brunette mohair wig was handmade by Olga Kuznetsova, chosen for the natural texture and movement that mohair brings at this delicate scale.
 
She wears an intricate teal dress by Moritza Moran, designed specifically to complement the proportions and character of the doll. Layers of soft teal fabric, delicate lace trim, dimensional embellishment, and refined finishing give the costume the appearance of a miniature couture garment.
 
Her ensemble is completed with coordinating teal leather shoes handcrafted by House of Doll Boots.
 
Together, the sculpt, hand-painted detailing, mohair wig, and artisan-made wardrobe create a collectible piece designed to be appreciated from every angle.
